Abomination Policies for DKP, Attendance and Masters DKP
Abomination uses a pure DKP system where "If you earned it, you can bid on it". You decide if it is appropriate for your class to use and if it would be of benefit for you. We encourage cooperation and teamwork, however, to ensure that the good of the guild is taken into consideration. We Form /chat channels per subclass to communicate with each other when something drops and see who may be in the most need for gear upgrades. Only on very rare occasions may it be deemed necessary for the Leadership to step in and set a class priority for loot and that will mainly involve the MT. Any item taken this way will have a cost of 30 DKP.
How DKP is earned:
During official Raid times - DKP is awarded every raid hour at the rate of 2 DKP per hour. During a typical 4 hour raiding period that would equate to 8 DKP per night. Attendance will be taken at 8:00pm EST, 9:00pm, 10:00pm and 11:00pm. A 1 DKP Early Point bonus will be taken at 7:45pm EST.
During non-official Raid times - If there is a T8 contested mob (Avatars) and we make an organized attempt (involving an Officer) to form up and pull it, 15 dkp will be given for every hour we are attempting the contested. No attendance will be given, just DKP so it will not effect your Raid Attendance %. Special DKP bonuses (at Leadership's discretion):
* Early Point bonus = 1 DKP to be taken at 7:45pm EST and you must be in the Guild Hall and in the raid. * Progression Raiding bonus = 5 DKP per hour instead of the normal 2 DKP will be awarded for attempting new content. * First Kill bonus = Double DKP for that hour will be awarded for taking down a significant Named that we have never killed.
DKP penalties:
Not Posting AFK = will result in a -20 DKP adjustment. Emergencies happen so be prepared and write down and enter into your cell phone the Officer's phone numbers to call in case you can't get to your computer to post. Not posting or communicating your AFK shows a lack of respect for the other members of the guild and repeated offenses will result in you being kicked from the guild.
How Loot is awarded:
Loot is awarded by an open auction bid system in the chat channel where you post your bid and the highest bid wins. Minimum bids start at 5 DKP. Guild members with "Raid Main" status have the first rights to bid on an item. If no "Raid Main" wants the item it goes down the line to "Member" then "Recruit" then "Alt" to place bids on the specified item. Anyone wanting to bid on an item must be in the zone or directly outside the zone if the item is No-Trade. If no one wants the item then it may be transmuted and either auctioned off at a starting price of 5 DKP or sold on the broker for guild funds.
Notes and Special Circumstances:
* There will be no bidding on items with the purpose of selling the item. If you can't use it, it needs to go towards guild bank funds. * In zones where there is "Smart Loot" you may be asked to take an item so that it doesn't drop additional times. Usually this is handled by a random process if no one bids. * You cannot sell items you have won that are "Smart Loot" such as set gear as this will defeat the purpose of trying to get the gear to the appropriate classes. * You can't bid more DKP then you currently have. Exception for class set pieces - if you are the only class that can use it and it's going to rot, you can bid and go negative with Leadership's permission.
ATTENDANCE
Abomination raids from Mon - Thu from 8:00pm EST to 11:30pm EST. Attendance is taken at exactly 8:00pm EST, 9:00pm, 10:00pm and 11:00pm on those raid days. You must be with the raid and in the correct zone to receive credit. If it's 8:00pm EST and you are still in Qeynos Harbor, you will not receive credit for that hour.
Rotations:
If you log on late or are not in the current raid, immediately contact the Rotations Officer to be added to the Rotations list. If you are on the Rotations list you will receive credit for Attendance and DKP as long as you are online and available to raid with your raid main in the correct zone. You may switch to an alt if you are on vent and ready to switch over when needed.
Membership Attendance Review:
Member status is based on your 30-day attendance % and will be reviewed every weekend and changed by Monday by the DKP Officer.
Raid Main = must maintain a 30-day raid % of 80% and up. Member = must maintain a 30-day raid % of between 50% - 79%. Recruit = must maintain a raid % of 80% and up while applying.
Nobody will be allowed to remain in the guild with less than a 50% 30-day attendance. Special circumstance will be looked at on an individual basis for people with vacations, emergencies and extenuating circumstance. Length in guild and other contributions to the guild will be a factor. These cases will need to get Leadership's approval first and communicate appropriately during their approved absence.
Any member who goes from a "Raider" to a "Member" or keeps bouncing between tiers will need to talk to an Officer to determine their long term status with the guild. Abusers of the tier system may make their spot eligible for replacement.
Being a "Member" doesn't secure your raid slot. We will actively recruit for classes that fall within the "Member" status of 50% to 79% attendance.
Raids are mandatory, if you are online you will be expected to raid.
Vacation Policy:
Raid Mains can qualify for a 4 Raid Day Vacation which will not negatively affect your attendance % or member status. The details are as follows:
• You must be a Raid Main, in the guild for at least 90 days and have an attendance of 80% and over during those 90 Days. • It must be 4 or less consecutive Raid Days. It can overlap a weekend if needed, but it must be consecutive Raid Days. • It can be used once every 6 months. If you use it, it will take 6 months from the first vacation day used until you can use it again. • It doesn’t accrue. If you don’t use it, you lose it. • You must post your request in the Guild AFK section with a minimum of 1 week advance notice. Officers must then approve the vacation and notify you. • You will earn attendance only and will be added to each hours attendance log. A negative DKP adjustment will be made when you return to compensate for the DKP earned. You won't earn DKP, you will ONLY earn attendance. • Emergencies will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Any emergencies will be reviewed by Officers if someone would like to use vacation for that time.
MASTERS
Masters that drop during a raid will have no DKP value and will be given out with the following criteria:
A "Raid Main" has first priority over a "Member". If there are 2 people at a given tier who can both use the Master the priority will be to whomever has been in the guild the longest and has seniority. Randomizing will be the final determination if all things are equal.
We also have a program where you are encouraged to turn-in level 81-90 Masters that you obtain from PUG or guild groups outside of raids. The basics are it's a 20 DKP swap between the person turning it in and the person receiving it. If you get a Master outside of raids, let Jesyka know so that she can check and see if the appropriate classes in the guild need the Master. If someone needs the Master for their main, you can turn it in and there will a 20 DKP transfer from the recepient to you, if nobody in the guild needs it then you will be given the Master back to do with as you want. If you would like to give it to someone else's alt then you can also request a 20 DKP transfer. Lower tier Masters will have a value of 10 DKP.
Recruits will not be able to receive Masters until they become a guild member. Any Master that a recruit can use will be held in the guild bank until they reach membership status.
